Our vision is to develop successful, confident individuals equipped to solve the tough challenges of tomorrow.
STEM Enterprise Projects give children and young people in our family of schools the opportunity to explore entrepreneurship.
By providing mentors, resources and custom field trips, STEM learners can develop a product idea into a marketable and saleable solution.
With your support, more pupils with smart ideas have the chance to work on a STEM Enterprise Project.
Our STEM Stars benefit because they:
- Develop innovative thinking and problem-solving abilities,
- Build a self-belief mindset and resilience to setbacks,
- Gain experience in presenting, leadership and project management.
how it works
- Any pupil aged 5 to 18 attending a Platanos Trust school can submit an idea.
- Pupils submit application forms and attend panel interviews.
- Successful projects receive funding for an academic year, where close monitoring and support is provided to the pupil during the project.
- Young entrepreneurs write up their experiences to share with project donors.
Supporting a STEM Enterprise Project
£200 provides project seed capital.
£1,000 funds a project for an academic year.
