OUR Programme
supporting stem talent
Our Foundation supports young people's talent for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) through:
- Resources
- Tuition
- Expert support
- Scholarships.
Our learners are ambitious and aspirational young people and believe in our motto that, 'Attitude Determines Altitude'.
Promoting STEM diversity
Young people with a talent for STEM sometimes lack access to opportunities.
We see this need every day in our schools.
We created the Platanos Foundation to be the change we want to see - to have an impact on STEM learners and their potential.
By supporting us, our gifted young people can become the STEM problem-solvers of the future.
what does the programme do?
Our STEM programmes are customised for talented learners in our primary and secondary schools. We call them our STEM Stars.
We provide the resources, expertise and support that each learner needs to develop their aptitude and skills.

There is evidence to suggest that women, certain ethnic minorities, people with disabilities and those from disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds are under-represented in education, training and employment related to STEM.
